Airalo slows its Armenia unlimited plans to 1 Mbit/s after 3 GB a day. Holafly names no daily threshold, says any throttling lasts one day at most and limits hotspot sharing to 1 GB a day. Prices are subject to change.
Airalo costs less than Holafly at each duration, from €0.40 for 3 days to €14.40 for 30 days. If you want a fixed amount instead, 20 GB for 30 days costs €25.90 with us, €9.60 less than a week of Airalo unlimited. Airalo gives you up to 3 GB at full speed per day, which adds up to 21 GB over a week, and keeps you online at 1 Mbit/s after that.
In the neighbouring countries we do sell unlimited data: 7 days cost €10.90 in Georgia and €21.90 in Azerbaijan. Our overview of the unlimited eSIMs explains how the tiers work, and the POVNOMAD price study 2026 compares fair use rules across providers.
Which network does the eSIM use: Team, Viva or Ucom?
Armenia has three mobile operators: Team (Telecom Armenia), Viva, formerly VivaCell-MTS, and Ucom, which took over Orange Armenia in 2015. The POVNOMAD Armenia eSIM lists Vivacell 4G as an example network in its technical data. Airalo names MTS–Vivacell, Holafly names Team Telecom Armenia and Viva-MTS (both retrieved 30 September 2026).
Hotspot is included with the POVNOMAD eSIM. It carries data only: no SMS and no phone number, while calls work through apps like WhatsApp. Your home SIM stays active next to the eSIM, so bank codes by SMS still reach you.
Armenia and Georgia on one trip: what do you need?
A country eSIM works only in its own country. For Armenia and Georgia you install two eSIMs: 3 GB for Armenia (€5.90) and a week of unlimited data for Georgia (€10.90) cost €16.80 together. Our Global eSIM includes Armenia and Azerbaijan but not Georgia. Airalo Discover covers all three countries on one eSIM, with 3 GB for 30 days at €22.00.
Foreigners can cross between Armenia and Georgia at Bagratashen/Sadakhlo, Gogavan/Guguti and Bavra, and trains use Ayrum/Sadakhlo. You cannot travel on from Armenia to Azerbaijan directly: the border is closed. Routes, border crossings and costs for all three countries are in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on one trip.
Which plan for which trip?
A city break in Yerevan of three to five days: 3 GB for 15 days costs €5.90.
A week with day trips to Garni and Geghard: 5 GB for 30 days at €8.90 leaves a margin, 10 GB for €14.90 covers daily photo uploads. If you stream video every day or run a laptop over the hotspot, choose between 20 GB for €25.90 with us and unlimited data at Airalo (€35.50 for 7 days) or Holafly (€36.90). Every POVNOMAD plan is on the Armenia eSIM product page.
Armenia sits outside EU roaming, so check your carrier’s Armenia rates before you fly.
