In the long-term means, December is the driest month in Hanoi (19.5 mm) and Sapa (65.7 mm), while Da Nang, next to Hoi An, still averages 218.4 mm that month. Da Lat gets 9.1 mm in January, Can Tho in the Mekong Delta 3.8 mm in February. In October, Da Nang averages 628.0 mm, more than any other month at any station in the table.

Rain does not switch off an eSIM, but on a wet day you want your documents at hand without a connection. Keep bookings, train tickets and addresses on the phone itself, not in an app that needs mobile data.

You can install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi (instructions for iPhone and Android). The validity starts at the first connection to the partner network in Vietnam, and you have 120 days after purchase to activate it. The eSIM carries data only, so keep your home SIM switched on for SMS codes from your bank.

Frequently asked questions

Does one Vietnam eSIM work from Hanoi to the Mekong Delta?

Yes.
